This all began with Molly (scroll right down), painted when I was taking lessons many years ago. I subsequently painted each of my dogs in a similar style and, towards the end of 2023 (with much encouragement from friends), decided to start painting pet portraits for others. If you’d like your pet’s portrait painted in this style, please drop me an email.
As all the pets below have been commissions, none is available for purchase.

Izzi, 2023 - NA
Izzi is my beautiful and not-so-golden (in fact she’s white) Golden Retriever. She came from Orange, which is also where my mum was from, which is just one of many reasons she’s such a special dog.
This painting was awarded Highly Commended (Figurative section) at the Sydney Royal Easter Show in 2024.
LUCY, 2018 - NA
Lucy was my second dog, and another Golden Retriever. She was meant to be a Guide Dog, but when she came to live with me at the age of eight months, she already had cataracts.
While her own visual impairment meant she was unable to be a Guide Dog, in the last couple of years of her life she worked as a therapy dog with Delta, putting smiles on the faces of many people who were sick in hospital or in aged care.
CUJO, 2018 - NA
Cujo was my first dog, a beautiful Golden Retriever.
And it’s an embossed image of Cujo’s pawprint that sits behind my signature on every painting I complete.
This painting was given an Honorable Mention in ‘Paint your pet’, run by Northern Beaches Watercolour in 2019.
