I’m back from a wonderful road trip out to the Central West. It had been quite some time since I’d been to many of the places I visited, and it was all just as beautiful as I remembered – often more so. Of course I enjoyed some fabulous food, visits to stunning wineries and those incredible big country skies, but most of all, my week away was wonderful because of its strong elements of nostalgia – not just places, but family and friends.
Now I’m home again with lots of inspiration, but have been busy preparing for the many upcoming shows around now, as well as the Pop-up Market I’m hosting at my studio early in May. My work will be joined by the joyful birdlife on pieces created by Kanak Kiran; amazing glass jewellery and other glass treasures by Karina Vallins; exquisite porcelain ceramic work by Romanda Newman; and the awesome dog sculptures lovingly created by Col Ritchie. Being the weekend before Mothers’ Day, we’ve all aimed to have not only beautiful pieces available with mums in mind, but also, given the tough economic times we’re all in right now, pieces that are affordable.
